Some businesses open their doors and hope for the best. Others become part of the community they serve. Absolute Air & Auto Repair has been doing the latter for decades, earning the trust of Springfield drivers one repair, one honest conversation, and one kept promise at a time.
It started in January 1999 in Springfield, Oregon. The goal was straightforward: do the work right, treat people with respect, and build something the community could count on. That reputation carried the shop forward, and when Brian and Nicki Griffin took ownership in 2017, they stepped into a responsibility they take seriously every day.
Built by PeopleWho Know the Work
Brian’s connection to the automotive world started in the family. His grandfather and father both worked on equipment, and that pull toward the trade never left him. Before coming to Absolute, he owned a Snap-on Tool franchise for five years, working alongside shops across the region, seeing where they struggled, and helping them improve. When a longtime customer needed help diagnosing a problem vehicle in 2012, Brian stepped in, they figured it out together, and that conversation eventually led to a partnership. In 2017, Brian and Nicki made it official.
Nicki is every bit as invested in the shop as Brian is. As co-owner, she is hands-on and genuinely passionate about what Absolute stands for. Together, they have focused on building the kind of team and infrastructure that allows the shop to grow without cutting corners.
In December 2025, that growth took a concrete step forward. Absolute expanded to a new facility on 42nd Street in Springfield, increasing capacity, improving the working environment for staff, and strengthening the shop’s ability to serve Lane County at the level it deserves.

Every member of the team brings their own passion for the automotive world outside of work, and that personal investment shows up in the quality of the work and the way they treat every vehicle and every person that comes through the door.
Monthly celebrations, birthday and anniversary recognition, and a culture built around showing up for each other are not afterthoughts. They are how this shop runs.
Beyond the bay doors, Nicki is a member of C.R.A.N. (Cat Rescue Adoption Network), a local organization dedicated to the rescue and adoption of cats in the area. It is one more way the Griffins show up for the community that has supported them for over 25 years.
